Race St. in Urbana. He will also be teaching a fiddle workshop from 2:00pm-3:30pm at C4A, 202 W. Main St. in Urbana.
Tickets for the concert are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. The workshop alone is $30, the workshop and concert together are $40.
Bruce Molsky is “one of America’s premier fiddling talents” (Mother Jones) and a twice-Grammy-nominated artist on fiddle, banjo, guitar and song. He has dug into the deepest reaches of mountain music, while growing his own unique voice. Bruce holds a stage as few other musicians can. His skill at performing a deep and varied repertoire and a reverence for the past, combined with a relaxed, conversational wit, draws listeners in as if they were sitting on the front porch of Carnegie Hall.
Molsky is in demand as a fiddle teacher and has taught at many fiddle camps in the U.S. as well as around the world. He was recently named by Berklee College of Music as its Visiting Scholar in the American Roots Music Program. Through his work there, he is a mentor, friend, and inspiration for the next generation of roots musicians. This is a unique opportunity for Central Illinois fiddle players to learn from a master!
